The GO Network

Our church is like a family. And being a sending church, we have extended family – we call it “The GO Network”.

As extended family, we love and pray for one another, support each other and share news and resources – helping each other out whenever we can. Highlights for us are the GO Network Gatherings we have every couple of months, to meet together and share what God’s doing among and through us on a whole range of fronts.

Apart from Glen Osmond Baptist Church (including our Glen Osmond & War Vets congregations), the GO Network also includes:

Soul Food Christian Community – Planted by Glen Osmond Baptist in 2006, Soul Food CC was commissioned as a Baptist Church in March 2010. The Soul Food community run a cafe in Redwood Park (Soul Food Espresso), and excel bringing the love of God to their local community in down-to-earth ways. We love them dearly and are immensely proud of them!

Adelaide Korean Baptist Church – Established with the support of GOBC in 2005, this Korean-speaking congregation continues to meet at Glen Osmond Baptist Centre, and is in the process of also being commissioned as a separate Baptist Church. Our Korean brothers and sisters are a joyful and growing community, and they have taught us much.

Others we support as part of our Network

The Cudlee Creek Gang – an independent house church which arose from tradesmen who came to faith at the time of our Centre renovations (2004).

Maranatha Health – a health centre and service being set up in Kamwenge, Uganda, by a team headed by one of our members, Dr Michael Findlay.

The Ames Family in Tokyo – Owen & Sarah and family were not originally sent from our church, but we love what they do and have been long-term supporters. They also run a cafe, The Sonrise Cafe in Tokyo, Japan.

Extended Extended Family – As a part of God’s great family all around the world, we also belong to and support the Baptist Churches of SA, Baptist World Aid Australia, Crossover Australia and Global Interaction.
